The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to lead our Dealer Management System (DMS) product line targeting independent car dealers, including buy here, pay here (BHPH) customers. This role is pivotal to ensuring that our product meets the unique needs of independent dealers, delivers value, and maintains a competitive edge. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in the independent dealership space, hands-on experience with DMS software, and a passion for solving complex customer challenges.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy & Roadmap:
Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the DMS product.
Align product goals with company objectives and customer needs.
Customer & Market Research:
Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand the needs of independent dealers, including buy here, pay here businesses.
Gather and prioritize feedback from customers, internal teams, and market trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, UX/UI, sales, and marketing teams to bring products to market.
Partner with customer success teams to ensure smooth product adoption and usage.
Product Development:
Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with development teams through agile processes to deliver high-quality releases on time.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on DMS-related topics.
Communicate product progress and updates effectively to leadership and customers.
Performance Monitoring:
Measure product performance using KPIs and customer feedback.
Identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
Domain Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of independent automotive dealership operations, including buy here, pay here models.
Experience working with Dealer Management System (DMS) software.
Experience:
3+ years of product management experience, preferably in SaaS or the automotive industry.
Proven track record of launching successful software products.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in agile development methodologies.
Tools:
Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Understanding of modern technology stacks and APIs is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
