Work Location: US (Remote)

Classification: Salary, Exempt

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior UX Designer to join our development team. In this role, you will lead the design of intuitive, user-centered experiences for our software products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of usability and delight. You will collaborate closely with software product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business goals, user stories, and requirements into compelling and seamless user interfaces. You will lead design sessions, create prototypes and mockups, conduct user research, define design requirements and standards, conduct usability testing, and contribute to iterative solution development and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interaction design, user research, and prototyping, with a proven ability to create innovative design solutions that drive user engagement and satisfaction. As a Senior UX Designer, you will also establish design practices and operate as an evangelist for user-centered design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end UX design process, from research and ideation through to wireframing, prototyping, and final design, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

  • Plan, execute, and analyze user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights that inform design decisions and ensure solutions meet user needs.

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals, technical constraints, and user needs, ensuring that design solutions are feasible and impactful.

  • Develop detailed wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that clearly communicate design ideas and facilitate feedback from stakeholders and users.

  • Champion user-centered design principles and best practices within the organization, advocating for the importance of design in creating successful software solutions.

  • Maintain and evolve design guidelines in collaboration with other designers, ensuring that all solutions adhere to consistent branding and visual design standards.

  • Work as part of an Agile team, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and ensuring that UX design is integrated smoothly into the development process, from discovery through to delivery.

  • Present and communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and executive leadership, effectively articulating the value of design decisions and how they contribute to product success.

  • Support LLS’ Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division’s processes, procedures, and services and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
