Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Accounting Assistant to join our innovative warehouse business. Responsibilities
  • Meticulously record and categorize daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of our financial records
  • Create and distribute professional invoices to customers, following up as needed to maintain healthy cash flow
  • Implement and manage an effective system for tracking outstanding customer balances
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to employees, suppliers, and logistics partners
  • Develop and maintain a robust system for monitoring cash flow, providing regular insights to support business decisions
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, offering clear visibility into the company’s financial health
  • Manage payroll processes for our per-job based employees, adapting to the unique needs of our business model
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies promptly by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Collaborate with the business owner to optimize financial processes and implement best practices

Requirements
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a small business environment
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational abilities and adept at managing multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
