Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Administrator to join our client’s team in a remote capacity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in Australian accounting practices while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining financial accuracy, streamlining processes, and supporting the company’s growth. As an integral part of the team, you’ll have the chance to interact with various stakeholders and potentially liaise with the agency’s clients, making this more than just a typical bookkeeping role.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the invoicing process and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Conduct regular financial reconciliations to maintain accuracy across all accounts
  • Process payroll efficiently, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations and timely payments to staff
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports to support informed decision-making
  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date financial records, adhering to Australian accounting standards
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize financial processes and support overall business objectives
  • Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the agency
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with a strong preference for Australian business context
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian accounting principles and payroll processes
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software such as XERO and Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of maintaining high accuracy in numerical work
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients if required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems or processes as the company grows
  • Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week, preferably on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • Ability to align with Western Australia (WA) time zone for seamless collaboration
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Experience in using Astute Payroll is a huge advantage but not a must
