Job description

LightFeather is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Architect to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions to support IT modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in ServiceNow architecture, integration, and custom development, as well as a strong track record of leveraging ServiceNow to streamline workflows, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency.

This is a Full Time, Remote Position.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize ServiceNow solutions to align with business and IT requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Lead the end-to-end architecture of ServiceNow implementations, including planning, design, and deployment phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and specifications.
  • Customize and extend ServiceNow applications and modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and Security Operations.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and robust security.
  • Develop and implement strategies for workflow automation, data migration, and system performance optimization.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment planning to maintain high standards for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Serve as a technical lead, mentoring developers and ensuring adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, integrations, and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow performance and functionality.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow updates and features, recommending system enhancements to align with IT modernization goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret/Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect or a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in implementing and optimizing ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and Security Operations.
  • In-depth experience with ServiceNow integrations, custom development, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, workflows, scripting (JavaScript), and REST APIs.
  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, performance tuning, and best practices for scalability.
  • Proficiency in web technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with ITOM capabilities, Service Catalog, and Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of data security practices and integration security protocols.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred:

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, GitHub) is a plus.
