About the position: We are actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales / Business Development Representative with a deep understanding of the manufacturing or in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors to drive our growth within these verticals. This role is pivotal to advancing our mission by promoting RKON’s solutions tailored to the unique needs of manufacturing and heathcare/pharma organizations. If you’re a results-driven sales professional with expertise in manufacturing technology and IT solutions, this is your opportunity to join a fast-growing company and make a significant impact. This role is fully remote with access to a major US city/airport preferred. The ability to travel up to 25% is required.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Revenue Generation: Drive new business by selling RKON’s managed services and cybersecurity solutions to manufacturing clients or healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations.
  • Strategic Client Engagement: Cultivate and manage relationships with decision-makers in manufacturing enterprises or healthcare and pharma, including C-suite executives, to ensure long-term partnerships and sustained business growth.
  • Solution Design for Manufacturing: Utilize RKON’s portfolio to develop tailored cybersecurity and IT solutions that address the specific challenges of the manufacturing industry, including supply chain security, operational technology (OT) protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Solution Design for Healthcare & Pharma: Leverage RKON’s portfolio to create tailored IT and cybersecurity solutions that address challenges like HIPAA compliance, patient data protection, and clinical data security.
  • Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and optimize a robust sales pipeline targeting manufacturing or healthcare/pharma clients, ensuring steady deal flow and conversion of leads into loyal customers.
  • Collaborative Sales: Partner with leading technology vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Rapid7, Checkpoint) to deliver integrated, co-sell solutions that address clients’ unique cybersecurity and IT needs.
  • Expansion within Accounts: Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue and deepen client relationships.
  • Performance Metrics: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets, with a focus on achieving $300k OTE, contributing to the overall growth objectives of the company.
Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience: 5-7 years of successful sales experience in IT and cybersecurity consulting, managed services, and product sales.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the unique challenges and technology needs of the manufacturing or healthcare and pharmaceutical sector, including MSP/IT Outsourcing, MSSP, OT security, Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), For healthcare and pharma-specific IT challenges, these include HIPAA compliance and patient data security.
  • Track Record: Proven success in meeting or surpassing sales quotas in a B2B sales environment, particularly within the manufacturing or industrial or healthcare and pharma sectors.
  • Consultative Selling: Ability to engage clients in a consultative manner, understanding the specific needs of organizations and delivering tailored cybersecurity and IT solutions that address these challenges.
  • Technical Knowledge: Adept at articulating the value and technical aspects of RKON’s service offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Relationship Management: Skilled in developing and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders in organizations, including IT directors, security officers, and operations managers.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working alongside technology vendors and internal teams to create comprehensive and integrated client solutions for clients.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $150,000
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $300,000 (including commissions and performance-based bonuses)
Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
