Job description

Squarespace is looking for a Business Development professional who is passionate about the power of Squarespace's platform and products to help customers build their brand and their business. Our Business Development team serves to commercialize new partnerships and incubate new growth opportunities for the company. You will help identify new areas of potential growth and develop the most promising. The team collaborates with Legal, Finance, Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing and more.

You will report directly to the Senior Business Development Manager and can be based in our New York headquarters or remotely in an approved US state.

You'll Get To…
  • Optimize and grow our Commercial Partnerships portfolio, investing in strategic growth areas of Payments, Financial Services, added-value products and product-integral functions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution of product partnerships
  • Maintain direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business and technical issues and serving as an internal advocate
  • Communicate market opportunities, needs and partner feedback to teams to inform product roadmap and prioritization
  • Collaborate with design, product, engineering, legal, finance, marketing, and PR to launch, maintain, and grow product partnerships
  • Track and communicate partner metrics, industry trends and the impact of these partnerships on business goals
  • Develop business proposals, structure projections and KPIs, and negotiate term sheets / contracts
  • Represent Squarespace in external meetings with counterparts from other companies
Who We're Looking For …
  • 4+ years of professional experience relating to partnerships, business development, strategy, or product management
  • Strong product sense, and comfort with considering basic technical feasibility of partner integrations
  • A passion and curiosity for new creative tool products and their potential for transforming industries
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive initiatives without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Experience and/or interest in commercial payments, fintech, and financial services space

Cash Compensation Range: $97,000 - $160,200 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
