Job description

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other types of solid cancers.


To support our team in Germany we are looking for a:

Sales Manager, CNS Oncology Germany


In this role as Sales Manager, CNS Oncology Germany you are responsible for growing the awareness, acceptance and adoption of Optune (TTFields therapy) as part of the early clinical routine of GBM treatment in Germany.


The Sales Manager, CNS Oncology Germany leads and supports the CNS Oncology Key Account Managers (KAM). He/She is responsible for the training plans and implementation of sales training together with the Senior Manager, Sales Training & Development Germany and works closely with Marketing to plan and roll out successful marketing campaigns.


Your responsibilities:

  • Directly leads the CNS Oncology KAMs, including selection, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Prepares the necessary analysis of the different CNS Oncology KAM regions in cooperation with the Senior Manager, Sales Operations and defines objectives and priorities aligned with the national objectives.
  • Identifies training and coaching needs and builds individual plans based on the findings in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Sales Training & Development.
  • Efficient and effective use of the CRM and additional systems to track interactions and to serve as the basis for analysis.
  • Ensures that the CNS Oncology KAMs are fully operational and the whole geography is sufficiently covered at all times, including the presence and behavior at national and partly international scientific meetings.
  • Builds a relationship of trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all KAM-related activities comply with the applicable Novocure Quality System requirements and specific German compliance regulations.
  • Collaboration with Sales stakeholders in other indications in Germany


Your profile:

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s Degree in business/science or equivalent education
  • 5-8 years’ experience in direct interaction with the healthcare system, experienced sales manager in medical devices or specialty pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven strong leadership skills in managing field force employees
  • Knows the German healthcare system
  • Driven by sales success measured by KPIs
  • Strong ability to work hard; capable of prioritizing and comfortable with making decisions in absence of complete information.
  • Gets energized by working in a start-up environment, yet understands the requirements of an internationally operating company. Is comfortable communicating country-specific needs, and capable of achieving goals by balancing market reality with company requirements
  • German mother tongue and English a must, any other language a plus
