Comptable (H/F)

DP World is currently looking for a Accountant based in the South of France to join our Finance team in France.

How you will contribute

General Accounting

• Verify and record all accounting documents, including purchase invoices, expense reports, and payroll journals.
• Calculate and book necessary provisions.
• Monitor and account for assets, including calculating depreciation allowances.
• Ensure compliance with the French General Chart of Accounts and applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain and prepare accounting documentation for audits conducted by tax authorities, statutory auditors, chartered accountants, and internal auditors.

Sub-Ledger Accounting

• Set up and manage supplier sub-ledger accounts.
• Check, process, and record supplier invoices accurately.
• Prepare and execute supplier payments.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper lettering of supplier accounts.

Tax Compliance

• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
• Manage corporate income tax instalments and related declarations.
• Track and adhere to the tax calendar, including CVAE and CFE obligations.

Treasury Management

• Enter banking transactions into the accounting system promptly.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in accounting, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Preferably Oracle Fusion).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Fluency in French is mandatory and good level of English is required for this role, proficiency in Italian is a plus.
• Able to sometimes work from our offices in Martigues/Fos-sur-Mer
