We are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Risk Support Practitioner to join our team specializing in health and safety for our corporate office in New Hudson, MI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Hands-On Support : Actively engage with regional sites to implement health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring that local teams have the tools and resources needed to meet objectives.
Global Collaboration : Serve as a key representative for your region, working closely with global teams to enhance program development and drive continuous improvement in policies and procedures.
Coaching and Mentorship : Provide guidance to local sites on hazard and risk controls, fostering a culture of safety through training and awareness programs that empower employees.
Problem Solving : Address non-routine health, safety, and environmental challenges by applying standardized best practices, ensuring consistent and effective solutions across the region.
Audit Leadership : Lead regional audits and support sites in preparing for these evaluations, promoting compliance and continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
Incident Investigation : Play a crucial role in investigating severe incidents, ensuring thorough analysis and adherence to reporting obligations, which helps prevent future occurrences.
Supplier Management : Oversee the evaluation and management of regional health, safety, and environmental suppliers and consultants, ensuring that partnerships align with organizational goals.
Effective Communication : Execute communication strategies that promote health, safety, and environmental initiatives, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the process.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or university equivalent required. Health and Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred.
- Significant relevant HSE experience required. 5-7 years of experience.
- Previous experience working across various countries within the region preferred.
- Progress toward professional certification, preferred.
Additional Details
- This role is hybrid- Must reside in the continental USA, ideally located in Indiana, Michigan, or Ohio.
