Job Summary
The Integration Architect specializing in BrightCore will lead and manage the design, development, and maintenance of integration solutions that connect BrightCore with internal and external systems. This role focuses on ensuring seamless data flow, efficient operations, and alignment with business processes. The Integration Architect will work closely with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to implement and optimize integrations, improve system interoperability, and ensure scalable and secure solutions.
This role is crucial as Porch continues to expand its innovative approach in the homeowner’s insurance sector, focusing on superior services and advanced underwriting techniques. The successful candidate will be instrumental in integrating and optimizing the BriteCore platform, a key component of our technology strategy.
What You Will Do:
- Design and implement integration solutions that connect BrightCore with other systems, including internal applications, external third-party services, and client systems.
- Develop and document integration architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business needs.
- Define and enforce best practices for integration processes, data security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with BriteCore to improve existing APIs and create new API requests.
- Develop and enhance event infrastructure (content and architecture).
- Facilitate integrations (internal and third-party systems).
- Manage ELT/ETL processes from BriteCore to the data warehouse.
- Conduct data mapping from existing systems to BriteCore.
- Lead hands-on migration efforts using BriteCore APIs.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and define integration requirements.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify integration opportunities, limitations, and performance bottlenecks.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications for integration solutions.
- Perform API and integration testing.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify and address system deficiencies.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to development teams, reviewing code, offering feedback, and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Oversee integration project lifecycles from design to deployment, ensuring high-quality execution and timely delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on BrightCore and related integration tools, answering questions and resolving complex technical issues.
- Act as a technical lead and mentor for the integration team.
- Define data flow strategies and manage data transformation, mapping, and synchronization between BrightCore and other systems.
- Design and implement data exchange protocols, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to security best practices.
- Develop error-handling and exception management strategies to maintain data integrity.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, workflows, and data mappings.
- Report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure integration solutions meet quality and functionality standards.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the BrightCore platform, including APIs, data models, workflows, and customization options.
- Stay updated on new BrightCore features, enhancements, and integration capabilities.
- Optimize BrightCore integration points to enhance system performance and streamline processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, IT, and external vendors, to understand and address integration needs.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and roadblocks to stakeholders, offering solutions to overcome technical challenges.
- Foster strong relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure smooth integration and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Significant engineering and integration experience in the insurance industry, preferably in the Property and Casualty (P&C) (homeowners, condo, renter, dwelling fire) space.
- Hands-on experience with BriteCore and its APIs (policy, claims, billing, payments, contacts) including system administration experience.
- Proficiency in API development and integration.
- Strong understanding of ELT/ETL processes.
- Experience with data mapping and migration strategies.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and third-party integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Experience with other policy administration systems is helpful.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Proven experience working with US based business teams
- Excellent written and communication skills in English language
- Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap
- Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload
