Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst of Insurance Finance will report into the Sr Director of Insurance Finance and will be creating the financial plan, data/analysis and reporting for the insurance division. 

Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) plays a key role in helping the organization make informed financial decisions by analyzing financial data, forecasting future financial trends, and providing strategic insights.  The SFA will identify areas where costs can be reduced or efficiencies can be improved. This could involve analyzing spending patterns, evaluating vendor contracts, or reviewing operational processes.

Furthermore, the SFA will work closely with leadership teams to provide insights into business performance. They help assess the impact of financial decisions, investments, and market conditions on the company’s overall strategy.

What you will do as a Senior Financial Analyst, Insurance Finance

  • Analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for our P&C operations & Reinsurance Program.
  • Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) in our insurance program to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in forecasting and scenario analysis for the P&C insurance division, in alignment with organizational goals and objectives and compliance with P&C standards.
  • Prepare and assemble data and analysis for reinsurance submissions and ad hoc reinsurer requests and facilitate reinsurance contract review and signing process.
  • Develop/Maintain quote and authorization spreadsheets for reinsurance placements, translate into modeling of financial results.
  • Communicate financial results, forecasts, and strategies to internal stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Communicate results and plans to senior leadership.

What you will bring as a Senior Financial Analyst, Insurance Finance

  • Bachelor's degree Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, AINS, CFA) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles within the P&C insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance accounting principles, financial modeling, and reinsurance.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, accounting software, and financial modeling software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead financial initiatives in a fast paced setting

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member 

Pay Range*: $84,000.00 - $117,600.00 annually 

*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
