Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in technology and project management to support transportation projects and initiatives, ensuring their successful execution and implementation.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses on transportation services and solutions, including cost analysis, performance evaluation, route optimization, and transportation mode assessment.
  • Utilize the Transportation Management System (e2open) and other relevant software tools to collect and analyze transportation data, identify areas for improvement, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Adjust and optimize business rules within the Transportation Management System (e2open) to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and automation of transportation processes.
  • Maintain and monitor the performance of the Transportation Management System (e2open), troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with technical support teams to resolve any system-related challenges.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and transportation metrics to measure performance, identify trends, and evaluate the effectiveness of transportation initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with national and regional parcel carriers, building and maintaining strong relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring favorable rates and service level agreements.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate carrier performance, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with technology and project management teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and the adoption of emerging transportation technologies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in transportation logistics, and provide insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, analysis findings, and key performance metrics.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience working as a Transportation Solutions Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong familiarity and experience in working with national and regional parcel carriers, including a deep understanding of carrier networks, rates, and service offerings.
  • Proficiency in working with Transportation Management Systems, particularly e2open, and adjusting business rules within the system.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including technology and project management.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in transportation logistics is a plus.
