Your role, your impact

In this billable Microsoft D365 engagement manager role, you will simultaneously manage several implementations and initiatives. You will leverage knowledge and experience from each engagement, ensuring that the work is aligned with client objectives and that it meets or exceeds client expectations.

Your day-to-day

  • Oversee the quality aspects of deliverables and implementation activities;
  • Monitor the engagement performance and present the implementation success, challenges and results in a consultative manner;
  • Act as a liaison with the client sponsor and steering committee to ensure successful delivery of commitments, quality, and alignment with scope and the escalation path for any scope deviations;
  • Review project deliverables to satisfy scope, objectives and business requirements;
  • Ensure services, project performance and deliverables are aligned to deliver expected business outcomes;
  • Make sure your client team stays on schedule, meets deliverable deadlines and is recognized for providing high quality work and compelling results;
  • Remove project delivery barriers;
  • Resolve and escalate issues with recommendations to the steering committee;
  • Build a sponsorship coalition to manage organizational change;
  • Identify and mitigate risks and other barriers for a successful project execution and escalate issues as appropriate;
  • Pinpoint key implementation risks or challenges quickly, and work closely with your internal team and the client to address them;
  • Establish strong client relationships;
  • Prepare plans and quotes, and outline a specific scope of work to the client with input from your internal team;
  • Provide ongoing management and guidance to your assigned client team, which consists of experienced services professionals, who will work closely with you to execute your clients’ projects;
  • Manage the overall profitability of your client implementations, including labour hours and expenses per the approved budget;
  • Continuously seek ways to improve our efficiency and effectiveness internally as well as with our clients.

Keys to your success

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience;
  • Experience with ERP and/or CRM implementations;
  • Ability to:
    • identify opportunities for future implementations, gather client requirements and effectively communicate them to your internal client team;
    • manage multiple assigned projects and project managers;
    • thrive in high energy, small business environment;
    • plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction;
    • organize and prioritize, while working with a sense of urgency against weekly and monthly deadlines;
    • serve as both a leader and a team player.
  • Strong and effective decision-making and project management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
