Position Description

Base pay is influenced by several factors including a candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and anticipated contributions to meet the needs of the business, along with internal pay equity and external market driven rates. The salary range displayed has not been adjusted for geographical location. The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs to attract and retain talent while supporting the company strategic objectives. This position will partner closely with HR Business Partners and the business to develop strategic partnerships to align business needs. Sales Compensation and Sales Plan design experience is highly preferred!

Responsibilities And Qualifications

  • Lead Compensation and incentive planning initiatives to drive performance and reward achievement.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Perform a variety of analyses as part of annual salary planning to assure the competitiveness of the compensation program. Make recommendations and provide cost implications of changes for matters such as salary structure adjustment, geographic differentials, equity analyses, merit matrix modification, merit budget, and annual incentive program.
  • Manage and provide expertise and guidance on compensation projects, securing and coordinating all necessary resources, partnering with various stakeholders, and managing projects to completion.
  • Provide oversight to the annual merit process, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide guidance and approval on all pay changes and calculate payments associated with Sales Commissions, Short-Term (AIP), and/or Long-Term (LTIP) incentive compensation plans.
  • Contribute organizational data to, and analyze results of, compensation surveys.
  • Analyze market data to assess competitiveness of compensation plans.
  • Provide expert advice on compensation-related matters and best practices.
  • Evaluate job descriptions, new/updated job titles and ensure consistent application across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to configure job families, job levels and develop overall job architecture frameworks.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Math, Finance, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation analysis or a related field.
  • Strong Excel skills in order to develop and maintain spreadsheets and perform data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Experience in a Healthcare or Insurance environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workday preferred.
  • Experience with Pay Factors preferred.
  • Prior experience with sales compensation and sales plan design is preferred.
  • Compensation certification (CCP) a plus.

Location:

  • This position is classified as remote, however the selected candidate would ideally be willing to come onsite to the corporate office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
