Job description

Job Title: Network and Systems Administrator (Windows)

Location: Remote

Summary: Join our team as a Network and Systems Administrator and play a key role in maintaining the health and security of our critical infrastructure. You will manage Windows servers, networks, and cloud environments (Azure), contributing to smooth deployments, proactive monitoring, and robust security measures. A deep understanding of Windows systems administration, network engineering, and cloud computing is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain test and production infrastructure servers, including OS patches, application frameworks, and other software updates.
  • Oversee certification management, including monitoring, alerting, updates, and renewals.
  • Deploy artifacts to test and production environments using Octopus Deploy.
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure for both data center and cloud environments (Azure), including:
    • Managing external footprint
    • Configuring firewalls, load balancers, and DMZ
    • Establishing site-to-site tunnels
    • Managing engineer and support access
  • Expand proactive monitoring and alerting across deployment environments, integrating with APM and SIEM tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server, network, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Set up network security scans on a monthly basis, including:
    • Configuring scan parameters and schedules
    • Developing processes for alerting, processing, and patching based on scan results
    • Ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Windows system administration and network engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019.
  • Experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, including Azure.
  • Experience with Octopus Deploy or similar deployment tools.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with APM and SIEM tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Certification in Windows Server administration, network engineering, or cloud computing
