Job description

Location: Los Angeles, CA (on-site or remote)

This role involves extensive collaboration with the CEO and other core departments, including marketing, production, and administration, to ensure alignment and maximize organizational impact. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, exhibit professionalism in engaging with high-net-worth individuals, and demonstrate a results-driven approach. Additionally, the VP, Development should excel in building strong relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and demonstrating a consistent dedication to driving and highlighting measurable progress.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reaching out to new and existing donors alike in a variety of ways, with weekly goals for phone calls made, emails sent, appointments made, solicitations/asks
  • Prospect for potential new donors
  • Update records to ensure key donors are being stewarded and to maintain record of funds raised
  • Manage donor relationships at PragerU events, and represent PragerU at outside events
  • Document donor efforts in team CRM
  • Craft proposals and presentations as needed
  • Liaise with in-house development team (data, events, other fundraisers)
  • Staying on top of fundraising trends and the nonprofit community

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • 7-10+ years experience in either non-profit fundraising and/or sales/business development highly preferred with proven record of success and ability to close
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously, take initiative and make decisions
  • Rooted in the principles of PragerU (Conservative values)
  • Experience with fundraising software CRM preferable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-Starter, highly ethical and well versed in our content, presenters, worldview
  • Superb written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Time management and flexibility with job duties
  • Must be able to travel ~20 to 30% of the time
  • Familiarity with digital ecosystem/social media channels

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package. The final candidate hired may potentially have less or more experience than originally posted as per job description, and if this happens, an updated salary range may be used for final hiring package.
