Job description

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Director of Product Management to lead our Healthcare Financial Solutions Platform, with a focus on optimizing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Healthcare Financial Operations. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership, driving the development and execution of product strategies that encompass claims management, provider reimbursement, and patient financial services, while aligning with market trends and business objectives. As a key leader, you will shape the future of healthcare revenue integrity by delivering innovative solutions that enhance patient financial experiences, streamline billing and collections, and improve denial management. This position offers the opportunity to lead a cross-functional team, influencing both the strategic direction and operational execution of key initiatives across the healthcare payment lifecycle and ensuring the success of our financial management efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Leadership

  • Define and own the product vision and strategy for the Healthcare Financial Solutions Platform.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features that drive value, market differentiation, and adoption.
  • Drive alignment between product initiatives and overall business objectives through close collaboration with executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification

  • Lead market segmentation and customer needs analysis to identify key market opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to ensure product positioning and feature development align with evolving industry trends and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate new market opportunities and guide strategic investments in product innovation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure successful product launches and a cohesive go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate with regulatory, legal, and compliance teams to ensure products meet all industry and governmental standards.
  • Work closely with sales and customer success teams to understand customer feedback, refine product features, and ensure a strong market fit.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging creative problem-solving within the product team to address market challenges.
  • Regularly assess product performance metrics and incorporate customer feedback to drive iterative improvements and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Explore and implement cutting-edge technologies such as AI, blockchain, and data analytics to elevate product offerings.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team, focusing on career growth, goal-setting, and performance management.
  • Establish clear team objectives and targets and manage team performance against these metrics.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members can thrive and contribute to the organization's success.

Business Planning and Financial Oversight

  • Work closely with the finance team to build business plans, including revenue forecasting and cost analysis, for new and existing product initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product impact, market penetration, and financial performance, adjusting strategy as needed.

Qualifications

Healthcare Financial Management & Revenue Cycle Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, including claims management, provider reimbursement, and patient financial services.
  • Experience optimizing healthcare financial operations, including billing, collections, denial management, and accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of payment gateways, processors, and acquiring banks, with expertise in handling various payment methods such as credit cards, digital wallets, and cryptocurrencies.

Payment Security and Regulatory Compliance

  • Expertise in security protocols like PCI-DSS compliance, encryption, and tokenization to ensure secure transactions in healthcare financial platforms.
  • Experience with fraud detection and prevention mechanisms, ensuring the security of financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, AML, KYC, and GDPR, particularly as they relate to healthcare and financial technology.
  • Ability to navigate licensing requirements and compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions within the healthcare industry.

Blockchain and Digital Transactions

  • Deep understanding of blockchain technology and its applications in healthcare financial services, including smart contracts and supply chain management.
  • Digital Transactions in Healthcare: Experience leveraging blockchain solutions to streamline healthcare transactions, improve transparency, and enhance trust between providers, payers, and patients.
  • Future-Ready Financial Systems: Ability to assess and implement emerging blockchain solutions to drive innovation in healthcare financial platforms, ensuring alignment with security standards and industry regulations.

Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning

  • Proficiency in leveraging big data and analytics platforms to derive actionable insights and optimize revenue cycle performance.
  • Expertise in predictive analytics, data mining, and machine learning to enhance fraud detection, patient financial interactions, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with AI-driven solutions such as automated customer service, credit scoring, and denial prediction within healthcare financial systems.

Financial Platforms and Systems Integration

  • Experience working with core banking systems and integrating them with FinTech and healthcare financial solutions.
  • Understanding of API integration, open banking standards, and the role of ERP systems in streamlining healthcare financial reporting and compliance.

User-Centric Design and Customer Experience

  • Expertise in creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for financial products that enhance the patient experience and reduce payment complexities.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping and using digital solutions to improve the patient's financial experience.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and their role in optimizing patient interactions and improving healthcare outcomes.

Educational Background

  • Required: Bachelors in finance, technology, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications in FinTech or healthcare financial management, such as CFA, CFT, or CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative).
  • 10+ years experience with healthcare financial technology solutions or revenue cycle management systems.
  • Experience with Proven success in building and scaling high-performing product management teams in the healthcare or financial sectors.
