Job description

The Finance Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage finance technology related projects. The role will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. Responsibilities will include managing the semi-annual Workday releases for Financials functionality, integrations arising from business building activities, supporting, and enhancing FINS controls related to systems, and assisting with the prioritization of Workday support tickets.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

  • Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, specifications, timelines, and staffing.

  • Manages assigned projects to ensure adherence to the schedule and scope.

  • Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, realigns schedules and expectations as needed.

  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports to affected staff and stakeholders.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.



Technical Knowledge and Understanding:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the insurance industry.

  • Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.

  • Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.

  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.



Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • At least 3 years of project management experience required, preferably within the financial services sector.

  • Familiarity with Workday Financials preferred.




The expected salary range for the role is $85,000 - $100,000 annual.  The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and experiences.    The disclosed pay range estimate may also be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
