Job Description :

Position Overview: 

The BSS Manager reports to the BSS Principal Architect and is responsible for managing the ERP Cloud and Oracle AMS solutions at Cogeco. This role involves overseeing the Workday and Oracle platforms, along with related systems, and leading a team of functional, technical, and business process experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team responsible for the Workday and Oracle platforms, ensuring the development and effectiveness of team members.

  • Work closely with the BSS Principal Architect and the Senior Director of Finance and Human Resources for ERP-related functions.

  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee the activities of the team in alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Guide the evolution of departmental applications within an Agile work environment.

  • Validate work processes, prioritize tasks, and review deliverables for quality and compliance.

  • Evaluate team performance, track progress toward objectives, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

  • Plan and manage the team’s budget and resources for the Workday ERP platform and the Oracle platform.

  • Organize and communicate the vision for the team in line with broader organizational goals.

  • Analyze the user experience across the Workday platform, measuring and reporting on journey quality and outcomes.

  • Guide the future evolution of ERP platforms, collaborating with the team to define priorities.

  • Work with business units, including finance and HR, to prioritize feature requests for Workday.

  • Maintain positive relationships with service providers, including Workday.

  • Collaborate with leadership teams to prioritize projects that support Cogeco’s strategic objectives.

  • Foster collaboration between teams and promote effective Agile practices.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in information technology, covering all stages of the systems development life cycle.

  • Experience in ERP Finance and HR/Payroll solutions, including platforms like SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

  • Experience with a Workday solution, ideally HCM / Pay and Finance (full platform)

  • Experience with budget consolidation and planning software such as Hyperion or equivalent.

  • At least 7 years of experience in managing teams.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in analytics.

  • Proven ability in human resources management, problem-solving, results-driven performance, and customer focus.

  • Experience in audit and application ownership.

  • Excellent skills in managing priorities and time effectively.

  • Exceptional teamwork, collaboration, and communication abilities.

  • Proven ability to lead change and adapt to evolving circumstances.

  • Strong capability to translate technical information into easily understandable terms.

  • Interpersonal and influencing skills, geared towards customer service.

  • In-depth understanding of application lifecycle management.

Additional Assets

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry.

This remote position is open to individuals residing within the organization's footprint, which includes the following locations:
