Billing and Collections Officer – Inpatients
1 X Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)
Monday – Friday, hours of work 8.00AM to 4.00/4.30PM
Malvern location & work from home 2 days per week (once training completed)
Hourly rate $35.84ph + 12.5% super

About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Inpatient Billing and Collections officer to join our team.
We are looking for a self-motivated person who has had exposure in billing with Private Health Funds for inpatient services. The successful candidate would thrive working in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on customer service, with accurate billing skills and who takes pride and ownership in their work.
Your day will look a little like this:
Invoice processing, Billing and claiming for a variety of services
Following up outstanding Debt
Management of claim rejections
Reporting of aged debts and reporting doubtful debts.
Collaboration & Problem-Solving with internal and external stakeholders
Liaising with Private Health Funds and third-party providers
Your experience will include:
Previous experience in health fund billing, invoicing, and reporting within a healthcare setting.
Relevant debt collection experience
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Accounts receivable experience in a health care setting
Experience with MS Office, Pracsoft and WebPas
