Job description

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Principal Purpose of Position:

  • Assist in analysis of inventory for wholesale or retail disposition by working directly with individual wholesalers, auction houses, and other strategic partners for acquisitions and logistics
  • Must be adaptable to market & business needs with open availability including weekends as well operating within East and West coast working hours.
  • Execution of inventory acquisition through software sourcing
  • Assist in the consumer acquisition strategy
  • Partner with stores to provide central appraisal support
  • Work with in-store buyers to evaluate vehicle condition and resale value
  • Collaborate with stores to identify inventory goals relevant to both store objectives and inventory health
  • Responsible for inventory maintenance, objective setting, P&L analysis
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 2-4 years’ experience
  • Retail automotive industry knowledge and/or work history is desired
  • Experience in buying/selling vehicles is strongly preferred
  • Experience in remarketing, knowledge of pricing & reconditioning a plus
  • Experience in analytics and acquisition
  • Collecting and analyzing raw data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and other helpful information
  • Reviewing and improving analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $56,400.00 - $81,775.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
