About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Marketing and Pricing Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in marketing, strategic pricing, and a strong understanding of the UK healthcare sector, including the NHS procurement process and the private pathology market.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to position our services effectively in the NHS and private pathology sectors.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Lead the creation of targeted marketing campaigns to engage key stakeholders, including NHS procurement teams, private healthcare providers, and corporate clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant industry partners and networks to enhance market presence.
Pricing Strategy
- Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies that align with the organization's objectives and market dynamics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market pricing structures, cost data, and revenue forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure pricing models comply with NHS frameworks, private healthcare regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing for new services and products, ensuring value for both the organization and customers.
Market Engagement & Business Development
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison with NHS procurement teams and private pathology stakeholders.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and tailored service offerings.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums, showcasing expertise in pathology services.
Performance Analysis
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and pricing strategies using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to drive continuous improvement and growth.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing and pricing roles within the healthcare sector.
- Proven expertise in NHS procurement processes, including frameworks, tenders, and contractual negotiations.
- Experience in the private pathology market, including knowledge of client segmentation and service models.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and pricing tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing effective marketing campaigns.
- Proficient in using CRM and marketing automation platforms.
