About This Role:
Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a qualified Java Developer. The Mid-Level Developer will provide development and sustainment support of a TRICARE health plan application. Development support will range from the gathering and analysis of requirements to design and development of code and testing and deployment of system enhancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Java-based applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
  • Develop features to enhance the user experience.
  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
  • Communicate risks and recommendations to project leads and teammates
  • Participate as an active member of the scrum team, perform tasks in sprints adhering to work in process limits, including providing input to team velocity and sprint ceremonies, planning, demonstrations and retrospectives
  • Conduct basic project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute assigned tasks
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts, principals and patterns
  • Proficient in Java languages
  • Experience working with related areas, such as, HL7, Cache, MSSQL or Oracle and XML
  • JIRA Agile project management tool
  • Git/GitHub repository

The “Need-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:
    • Strong knowledge of Java 17+ features
    • Experience with Spring Framework
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
    • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
    • Version control (Git) experience
 
Professional Certifications:
 
Education:BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
Clearance:Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust
