As Principal PR Manager at Airalo, you will take ownership of shaping and executing a comprehensive global PR and comms strategy. You’ll play a pivotal role in elevating Airalo's global brand presence, fostering credibility in the eSIM and connectivity category, and ensuring a consistent yet localized narrative across key markets.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Regional teams, Global teams and Leadership stakeholders to drive impactful storytelling, secure high-value media placements, and amplify Airalo's voice globally. Your responsibilities may include managing key external PR agencies, overseeing day-to-day press activity, and identifying opportunities to grow Airalo’s thought leadership and media footprint across regions.
You’ll act as a key architect of Airalo’s global PR initiatives, aligning regional strategies under one cohesive vision while tailoring communications to local market needs. From shaping strategic PR campaigns and managing reputation to exploring speaking opportunities and industry events, you’ll ensure Airalo stays top-of-mind in the travel, tech, and connectivity industries worldwide.
The person stepping into this role will have a strategic yet hands-on mindset, strong experience in PR, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. You’ll juggle multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to evolving priorities, and play a key role in building an effective global PR function that delivers measurable results and meaningful impact.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and execute a global PR strategy to elevate Airalo’s leadership in the eSIM/connectivity category, ensuring alignment with Regional teams and initiatives.Build and maintain strong relationships with global media outlets, journalists, and influencers across travel, tech, and business sectors.Craft compelling press materials (press releases, media kits, thought leadership) and identify opportunities for proactive storytelling around Airalo’s brand, products, and milestones.Plan and manage Airalo’s presence at global conferences, industry events, and executive speaking engagements, developing impactful messaging and content for leadership.Monitor global news cycles and trends, identifying opportunities to enhance Airalo’s media footprint and mitigating potential reputational risks.Develop and implement crisis communication plans to protect and manage Airalo’s brand reputation, partnering closely with internal teams.Collaborate with all Growth, Product and Leadership teams to align messaging across campaigns and channels, ensuring consistency and resonance with Global and Regional audiences.Establish and track key performance metrics for PR initiatives, analyzing media coverage and audience sentiment to drive continuous improvement.Must-haves:8+ years of demonstrated success in public relations, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably within the tech or travel industry.Proven ability to shape and execute corporate narratives that build brand credibility and resonate across diverse global audiences.Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to craft high-quality press materials, thought leadership pieces, and media messaging tailored for varied audiences.Experience in managing PR agencies or in-house Specialists/Managers across multiple markets, setting KPIs, and driving measurable results.Strong track record of managing global media relations, securing impactful coverage, and building relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.Experience in planning and executing executive speaking engagements, media interviews, and participation at global conferences or events.Proven ability to work on long-term strategies in collaboration with senior leadership, as well as cross-functional teams in Growth, Product, and Legal.Analytical mindset with experience in monitoring and measuring PR performance, leveraging data and insights to optimize campaigns.
