Position Summary:

The Education Consultant serves as a vital link between Teacher Created Materials and its valued customers, delivering professional development services that enhance teaching and learning experiences. This role requires deep expertise in PreK-12 education, adult learning theory, and current educational research and practices. By facilitating dynamic workshops, engaging presentations, and tailored implementation plans, the Education Consultant supports educators in effectively integrating our high-quality curriculum resources into classrooms, ensuring impactful student outcomes. This role embodies our mission to empower educators and inspire students by providing best-in-class professional development and resources.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Engaging Professional Development: Facilitate dynamic, research-based professional development sessions and presentations tailored to the needs of educators, administrators, and district leaders, utilizing curriculum resources from TCM, Shell Education, and Free Spirit Publishing.
  • Collaborate and Represent: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Content Development teams to align professional development offerings with customer needs. Represent the organization at national and regional conferences, demonstrating expertise and building meaningful connections with education professionals.
  • Analyze and Report Trends: Create insightful market trend reports, providing actionable recommendations to keep the organization informed of emerging opportunities and challenges in the education sector.
  • Design Custom Solutions: Develop comprehensive professional development and implementation plans customized to address specific educational goals and challenges faced by schools and districts.
  • Share Product Expertise: Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of TCM and imprint products, including their key features, benefits, and alignment with educational standards. Act as a trusted resource by sharing this expertise with internal teams, such as Sales and Marketing, and with external customers. Provide guidance on effectively integrating these resources into classrooms to maximize their impact on teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Maintain a flexible schedule to support frequent travel (50–70% of the time) and varying customer needs, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education/Certification: Master’s degree in education (Ed.D. in education preferred)
  • Required Knowledge:
    • State-specific standards, including standards developed by organizations such as NCTM, NCSS, ILA, NSTA and others.
    • Educational leadership or administration experience
  • Experience Required: 7-10 years of experience in the field of education with positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Ability to design and deliver effective professional development.
    • Must be skilled in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
    • Well organized
    • Accurate and attentive to details
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Carry company products to and from meetings and training sessions.
  • Carry up to 50 lbs.
Work Conditions:

Home office environment.

Travel (by car and airplane) 50-70% of the time.
