Job description

Arkansas Talent Group is working exclusively with a niche full-service financial consulting firm to find a Senior Risk Compliance Specialist (Lending) to be based out of Central Arkansas. Were seeking someone skilled in lending compliance to play a key role in assessing risk management programs, preparing insightful reports, and providing expert guidance to bank management on regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, ensure high-quality service, and uphold confidentiality while making a significant impact on the clients compliance efforts.

Remote position with preferred candidate located in Central Arkansas. Candidates from Fort Smith (AR), Tulsa/Oklahoma City (OK), Springfield (MO), Birmingham/Huntsville (AL), and Nashville/Memphis (TN) will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in conducting compliance reviews, assessing risk management programs, and ensuring adherence to relevant laws, including Lending Compliance, Fair Lending, HMDA, CRA, SAFE Act, BSA/AML/OFAC, and others
  • Collect, analyze, summarize compliance review findings, and prepare management reports, preliminary observations, and draft reports
  • Document compliance exceptions through work papers and memorandums, and provide recommendations to management for compliance improvements
  • Monitor timelines, expenses, and work standards to ensure timely and efficient completion of reviews while maintaining quality and customer service
  • Maintain attention to detail and organizational skills to deliver quality reviews within required timelines
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills for effective communication, both in-person and remotely
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all work while contributing to quality service to clients and the company
  • Assist Risk Management team members as needed and maintain good rapport with bank management and employees
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years experience in bank compliance
  • Experience overseeing and performing lending compliance and fair lending audits
  • Strong knowledge of lending compliance, fair lending, HMDA, CRA, and the SAFE Act
  • Ability to assess and update compliance programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with laws and regulations
  • Proven ability to collect, analyze, and summarize compliance review findings, prepare clear, actionable management reports, and preliminary observations for management review, and advise management on compliance with applicable laws and regulations through reports and discussions
  • Proficient in completing work papers and memorandums to document compliance exceptions and observations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel up to 20% within the region, including overnight Monday through Friday
