We are looking for a North America based Senior Director of Engineering to join an unannounced title and lead the way to launch and live operations. Our mobile game is in the final stages of development and will be Scopely’s next major F2P title.

What You Will Do
As the Senior Director of Engineering you will own the technical vision and delivery for the project and lead a small team of Scopely engineers. Working with local and external developers you will set the technical standards for launch and beyond, and guide teams to delivery of a high quality live operations game.
Your role will include:
Close collaboration with project leadership on prioritization and planning
Identifying challenges and collaborating on technical solutions
Maintaining and communicating focused technical roadmap up to and beyond launch
Leading timely delivery through local and external development partners
Maintaining collaborative and productive relationships with external development partners
Mentoring team members and providing support for their career growth and development
Ensuring stability, scalability and cost effectiveness of all game systems and supporting services
Working with Scopely live operations partners to ensure they have the capabilities and tooling to manage the game at scale
What We're Looking For
7+ years leading technical teams in the delivery of successful mobile games
Multiple games shipped using Unity and detailed knowledge of Unity architecture
Lead and managed distributed development team(s)
Lead delivery of multiple projects primarily through external development teams
Experience delivering live operations capabilities such as segmentation, player journey, A/B testing etc.
Proven leadership, mentorship, team and change management skills
Facilitated collaboration with cross-functional teams, including analytics, art, and designs, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Bonus Points
Experience scaling high availability backend services in AWS
Experience in iOS/Android native frameworks
A background in hands on computer engineering or games development
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $223,000 - 281,400 plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
