Job description

We're recruiting for a Product & Marketing Director to join us on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Product & Marketing Director to lead and shape multiple product lines within Fintel IQ. The role involves owning and driving the product strategy, planning, investment, marketing, delivery, and performance for a key set of Fintel IQ's suite of technology products designed for financial advisers.

You'll be responsible for maximising the overall performance of these products, focusing on numbers of financial decisions influenced, revenue, and product profitability. This role includes identifying opportunities to extend or enhance existing products and bring new products to market. The Product & Marketing Director will own the end-to-end strategy to deliver a market-leading offering, ensuring maximum market penetration through direct accountability and by leading a cross-functional team in line with broader business priorities.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct market research and analyse customer needs and trends within the financial services sector.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments to inform product strategy, marketing strategy and innovation
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and marketing strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Prioritise product features and enhancements based on market needs, customer feedback, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the design and development of user-centric financial technology solutions.
  • Ensure high-quality, intuitive user experiences that meet the needs of financial advisers.
  • Champion customer-centric product development processes.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure products are designed with the end-user in mind.
  • Develop pricing strategies that reflect the value of the products and meet business objectives.
  • Analyse market trends and competitive pricing to inform pricing decisions.
  • Manage the product P&L and create key financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets.
  • Oversee the performance of products from inception through to launch and beyond.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Implement robust measurement frameworks to assess product performance.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance product offerings.

What you need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a senior product management, marketing or proposition role within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and growing financial services technology products.
  • Track record of delivering high-quality digital user experiences that outperform competitors.
  • Strong understanding of the design, development, and delivery of B2B software applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of high-quality user-centric product design principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the marketing, sales, expansion, operation, and support of digital products.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent intellectual ability demonstrated through experience.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CII, PFS, CISI, or CFA are advantageous.
  • Experience working closely with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with the UK retail investment financial services and advice markets is beneficial.
