In one of the biggest challenges facing the world, we pioneered a new form of artificial intelligence, combining medical knowledge with intelligent technology to empower millions of people to better understand their health. We’re proud to support medical doctors and work with leading health systems and global non-profit organizations. We’re a diversely skilled team representing 50 nationalities, and we’re growing rapidly to achieve our global ambitions for the future of health. This is just the beginning.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Operations Engineer to help shape and define the next iteration of the infrastructure that manages Ada Health’s IT and endpoints. You will leverage configuration tools such as Terraform, Okta and Jamf Pro as well as a range of enterprise software to maintain a consistent and seamless user experience for our employees.  If you want the opportunity to work with the latest technologies in an innovative, AI led organization, and drive some really interesting projects around automation then this is the role for you!

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement where you will be based in our central London office 1 to 2 days a week.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, manage, and document internal IT infrastructure (Okta, Github, Google Workspace, Cloudflare, Jira, Confluence, Slack) and cloud servers (GCP, AWS).
  • Optimize Okta administration through automation, leveraging Okta Workflows and API integrations to automate complex identity management tasks and enhance security and efficiency.
  • Manage and scale our fleet of macOS and Windows devices and related infrastructure (Jamf Pro, Intune).
  • Drive security standards in collaboration with the information security team and establish best practices for our enterprise environment.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR) and manage backups and recovery processes.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level IT support to employees

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years' experience performing a similar IT role at a senior level.
  • Strong experience in Okta administration, Okta Workflows and API integrations.
  • Experience managing macOS or Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with working on Atlassian, GWS, Github. Writing infrastructure as code is a plus!
  • Knowledge one or more programming languages, such as Python or Bash.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on improving IT infrastructure and user experience.

What’s awaiting you at Ada

  • Flexible working hours to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
  • 28 days holiday, plus bank holidays to unplug, rest and recharge.
  • Corporate health insurance and pension scheme.
  • Support to set up your home office space, with the option for a co-working space subscription for our remote employees.
  • Parental benefits plus nursery benefits.
  • Employee Assistance Programs to help you look after your emotional wellbeing and deal with life’s challenges.
  • Stay active and healthy with a discounted ClassPass membership.
  • Online Academy for learning and development opportunities.
