Job description

We're Karat, the world's largest interviewing company.

Karat helps companies hire top engineering talent with confidence. As an end-to-end hiring solution, we work with organizations to improve the quality, efficiency, and equity of their technical hiring process. Global leaders like Walmart, Atlassian, and Citi rely on Karat to conduct hundreds of assessments and interviews every day through a powerful combination of human expertise and innovative technology. Our mission is to make every interview predictive, fair and enjoyable so we can unlock opportunity -- for everyone. We’re a passionate, focused, human-centric team, and we want you to join us!

Come join our Finance team

Our Finance team is committed to building a scalable foundation by providing in-depth, insightful analyses of all financial drivers that help inform and contribute to the success and growth of Karat. We sit at the center of data and information, and it is our mission to transform these insights into meaningful decisions.

What you will do

As Senior Finance Manager at Karat, you will lead strategic financial planning and analysis while serving as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders in the Company. You will develop and deliver sophisticated financial models and actionable insights that drive business decisions, partnering closely with leaders in Sales, Marketing, and Interview Delivery.

We are looking to hire this position out of Mexico, as this individual will work closely with global stakeholders, requiring overlap with all U.S. timezones.

  • Take a lead role in the Company’s annual planning process by preparing financial analysis and modeling; recommend future expense targets and analyze business performance in partnership with cross-functional areas.
  • Advise key cross-functional teams, specifically Go-To-Market (GTM) and Interview Delivery, to understand strategic priorities, uncover actionable insights, and provide recommendations to improve financial and operating performance.
  • Own and drive improvements to the Company’s core financial models. Create new models and analyses to influence the Company’s decision-making
  • Develop and own reporting for various audience members, including Company leadership, board members, and investors.
The experience you will bring
  • 7+ years of financial analysis experience (e.g. budgeting, forecasting, modeling, reporting)
  • Strategic thinker and effective communicator with all levels of management
  • Able to effectively translate financial analyses into actionable business recommendations
  • Previous experience supporting full P&L and hands-on experience participating in company-wide budgeting processes in a business partner capacity
  • Self-starter with a strong ability to work under minimal direction and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy; able to translate big-picture analysis while never losing sight of the finer points
Applicants, please note: submissions not 100% in English will not be considered.
