Do you enjoy helping others achieve optimal health and well-being? Are you skilled at customer service and able to build quick rapport over the phone? Humana’s Care Management Support Assistants perform their role in a call center environment and the principal responsibility is to complete a Health Risk Assessment with Humana members. The assessment takes a comprehensive approach in addressing a member’s overall health and well-being. The CMSA role provides non-clinical administrative, operational and customer support, guiding members toward resources that aid in managing their health.

The Care Management Support Assistant 3 duties include the following:

  • Call members to complete the health risk assessment and engage members to participate in care management program.
  • Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks and projects.
  • Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques.
  • Work is under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.  
  • Schedule will be 8 hours plus a 1-hour lunch, Monday-Friday.
  • You must be able to work both shifts: 8am - 5pm for inbound calls and 8:30am to 5:30pm for outbound calls. (DLST is 9am-6pm and 9:30am-6:30pm); overtime pending business needs

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside in Puerto Rico. This position is remote, although associates may be asked to come into the Puerto Rico office on occasion.
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • 1+ year of technical experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Fully Bilingual English/Spanish - Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations and assistance; with ability to pass a proficiency test in both languages.
  • Must have a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience in healthcare
  • Experience in a call center environment
  • Administration support experience in a healthcare industry with familiarity with care and well-being resources

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:
  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
