We are looking for a Director of Business Development to lead a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to generate pipeline and new opportunities across Pattern’s business units, including our Global Marketplace Accelerator and Software as a Service products. The team is primarily focused on outbound lead generation, nurture, and qualification through both digital and in-person channels, with the ultimate goal of securing meetings/demos for global account executives. Strong cross-functional collaboration is important, as this leader partners closely with both Marketing and business unit Chief Revenue Officers to deliver against goals. This role requires a passion for people leadership and a demonstrated ability to hire and develop top talent, as well as a results-oriented mindset
This is a full-time hybrid role in the Corporate Marketing organization, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer in our Lehi, UT office.

What is a day in the life of a Director of Business Development?
As a Director of Business Development, you will lead our Business Development Representative (BDR) team and play a critical role in our revenue organization
Own the overall strategy, execution, and development of initiatives to drive outbound pipeline generation including new tools and technology, strategies, internal collaboration, and events
Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development team to achieve and exceed pipeline development and creation targets and goals
Utilize CRM systems to track data and manage sales activities and KPIs, maintain accurate customer records, and regularly report results to senior management
Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Demand Generation to create cohesive strategies, uphold a culture of accountability, and set targets and goals.
Gain in-depth knowledge of company products and solutions, while staying informed about industry trends through ongoing training
Travel up to 10% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events
What will I need to thrive in this role?
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field
7+ years experience in SaaS related B2B sales or a similar industry
5+ years experience as a manager of people, leading employees and teams directly
Experience using Salesforce CRM software
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding challenging sales quotas and goals
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events
Strong written and verbal communication and story-telling skills utilized with both customers and internal stakeholders.
A knack for navigating ambiguity and complex business models.
You use data as much as possible to inform your decisions and when it’s not available you brainstorm how you can collect data in the future to support insight generation.
You are a master at prioritization and know when to say yes to game changing ideas versus pushing back in a respectable manner.
You roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
