Job description

Descope is a drag & drop customer authentication and identity management platform. Our no-code workflow builder, SDKs, and APIs help organizations easily create and customize the entire user journey for their apps – from authentication and authorization to MFA and SSO. Hundreds of customers like GoFundMe, Databricks, Navan, and You.com use Descope to improve user onboarding and conversion, protect against account takeover, and increase developer productivity.

Founded in 2022, Descope has offices in Los Altos, CA and Tel Aviv, Israel. Since its inception, Descope has been recognized in the Fortune Cyber 60, Redpoint InfraRed 100, Cyber 150, and Rising in Cyber lists, and has been named a SINET16 Innovator. With 100s of organizations and 1000s of developers using the platform, Descope has also been named a G2 High Performer in the CIAM, Passwordless, MFA, and SSO categories.

We are on a mission to make customer identity an enabler for every app by helping developers “descope” authentication from their daily work. The company has $53M in seed funding led by Lightspeed and GGV Capital, with participation from several other investors and notable individual investors such as George Kurtz (CEO, CrowdStrike), Bipul Sinha (CEO, Rubrik), John Thompson (Board Director, Microsoft), and Assaf Rappaport (CEO, Wiz).

Descope is founded by a team of highly technical, customer-centric engineers that have created multiple category-defining companies in the past. Most recently, this team created Demisto, a leader in the Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) space that was acquired by Palo Alto Networks for $560M.

If you’re passionate about crafting product and business narratives to drive market differentiation and revenue, this role is for you!

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Marketing Manager to lead our go-to-market efforts. This role is pivotal in shaping our messaging, launching products, managing analyst relations, enabling the sales team, and driving product adoption and market success. If you have a passion for translating technical capabilities into compelling narratives and enabling cross-functional success, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Messaging and Positioning:

  • Develop and refine compelling messaging and positioning for our CIAM platform that resonates with target audiences, including technical and business practitioners and decision-makers.
  • Craft value propositions that highlight the unique benefits of our products and differentiate them in the marketplace.
  • Lead the development and dissemination of vertical-specific messaging to highlight Descope’s value proposition for different industries.

Product Launches:

  • Plan and execute product launches, collaborating with product management, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Drive launch strategies, including messaging, collateral creation, campaigns, and internal readiness.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of launched products to ensure market success (e.g. feature adoption, engagement, follow-up questions, demo requests).

Analyst Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with industry analysts to position the company as a thought leader in the CIAM space.
  • Lead briefings, respond to inquiries, and ensure consistent, impactful representation in industry reports and evaluations.

Sales Enablement:

  • Create and maintain sales tools, including battlecards, sales decks, FAQs, and competitive analysis, to empower the sales team.
  • Train and support the sales team in effectively communicating product value and addressing customer objections.
  • Gather feedback from the field to continuously improve sales enablement materials.

Business Case Development:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to create business cases that articulate the ROI and value proposition of our CIAM solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop success stories and case studies highlighting real-world benefits.

Events:

  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations that showcase industry trends, customer learnings, and product insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in SaaS, cybersecurity, or identity management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Proven track record of executing successful product launches and crafting impactful messaging.
  • Experience with analyst relations, including briefing preparation and engagement.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with CIAM, IAM, or related technologies is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in developing sales enablement tools and collaborating with sales teams.
  • Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What We Offer:

  • A high-impact, high-energy, and collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the growing CIAM space.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities.
  • FUN work environment
