Role Responsibilities
- Directly and consistently contribute to the codebase with an obsessive attention to detail, ensuring every pixel, margin, and interaction adheres to design and performance standards.
- Collaborate with designers to translate complex workflows into intuitive, error-free user experiences
- Implement and enforce methods and processes that ensure delivery consistency and accuracy prescribed by designers
- Regularly review and refine UI/UX implementations to ensure perfection, from typography alignment to seamless component interactions.
- Coordinate uncertain and on-going design improvements with other engineers
- Lead and mentor other engineers in balancing performance, code-hygiene, and delivery times.

About You
You have full command of TypeScript, Next.js/React (In a functional paradigm usage), SCSS, and Node.js. Wrong typography, inconsistent margins, long load-times, and non-memoized React components keep you up at night. You take pride in creating interfaces that are not just functional but delightfully precise and intuitive to use. You are a quick learner who is open to feedback and eager to develop your skills. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others and contributing to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Expert in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, REST APIs, and functional-paradigm-usage of React or Next.js.
- Ample experience in working with software designers and related tooling (I.e., Figma, Figjam, After Effects)
- Familiarity with IBM Carbon design system, Python, Supabase, and/or WASM is a huge plus.
- Understanding of 3D geometry and geospatial mathematical concepts, and experience utilizing geospatial rendering libraries like Cesium or DeckGL is highly desired.
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing, preferably AWS (internships or academic projects acceptable)
- Understanding of software containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes preferred)
- Basic knowledge of software test methodologies
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Comfortable working in a Mac environment

Compensation
- Total compensation for this role is base salary + company equity
- Colorado base salary range: $100-160k
