Position Summary
This position will facilitate access to and utilization of mental health services for youth and their families in both a telehealth and an outpatient setting within the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The position will be remote.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Completes intake assessments with patients referred to the CONNECT Program and others referred for psychotherapy services in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) for outpatient adolescent behavioral healthcare.

  • Provides screening and psychoeducation.

  • Triages patients into the appropriate program, provider, or provide referral to off campus providers.

  • Schedules psychotherapy and psychiatry services for patients as indicated. 

  • Manages patient scheduling services to include collecting demographics and insurance registration.

  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).

  • Provides follow-up communication as needed.

  • Tracks programmatic data and prepares outcome reports.

  • Attends team meetings and participates in training sessions as assigned.

  • Builds relationships with on-campus colleagues and community partners to ensure collaborative continuity for start of care.

  • Provides referrals to community services as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in a health related field, such as social work, counseling, sociology, or psychology. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in other fields may be considered with sufficient case management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth and families, particularly those experiencing trauma or mental health symptoms, and proficiency in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice interventions.
  • Ability to engage with families from diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Interest in contributing to clinical research and knowledge development.
  • Familiarity with community resources in the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area.

Salary Range
$20.57 - $30.84 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
