Job description

Our growing Accounting & Banking Services (ABS) team is part of our Exclusive Family Office group and specializes in helping our high-net-worth clients with their personal and entity accounting that, includes management of their accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, budgeting, and financial reporting for stakeholders. We are looking for a motivated, career-oriented Manager or a highly experienced Senior Associate ready to take the next step in their career to join our team. How you will contribute:

  • Assist with managing a department that includes remote and on-site employees to produce timely and accurate financial reports. 
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead and manage key client relationships with internal teams and external clients.
  • Assist with managing the accounts payable process to ensure all payables are paid timely by the Senior Associates. 
  • Assist with training and developing the team.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure monthly reconciliations are completed. 
  • Maintain key contact relationships with banking, payroll, and back-office vendors.
  • Oversee and assist with banking administration functions such as opening/closing accounts, change signers, and other banking documents/requests.
  • Develop and implement department policies and procedures.
  • Understand and manage department workflow.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new client onboarding process. 
  • Ensure ABS complies with firm-wide and SEC requirements, including managing internal and external audits and compliance reports.
  • Ensure transactions are documented and back up materials are provided according to compliance requirements.
  • Interact and team with other departments (Wealth Management/Tax Services/Investment Operations).

Knowledge:

  • Tax experience preferred to recognize the relationship between accounting and tax.
  • Management of production and growth of teams.

 

Skills:

  • High Proficiency in Word, advanced Excel, and other data management software is essential, including knowledge of accounting systems such as AgilLink, and QuickBooks Online.
  • Must be meticulous with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills within a diverse office environment.
  • Excellent personal and professional references.

Experience and Education:

We will consider any combination of experience and education which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. A typical way to acquire the requirements would be:

  • CPA – Perferred.
  • 4 - 8 years of professional experience in an accounting or business management environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Professional experience as an Accounting Senior or Manager, Audit Senior or Manager, or Controller. 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Primarily sedentary work in an office with minimal distractions; walking throughout the office. Learn and memorize tasks; execute tasks independently; apply knowledge and use judgment to manage situations. Occasionally exert up to ten pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Perform repetitive motions; substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers for computer keyboard operation. Use near visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing documents, operating a computer, and reading. Speak and hear to communicate with team members and clients by phone and in-person.
