Overview: We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Manager with a strong background in event planning to join our growing marketing team here at BS&A. Along with outbound marketing activities, this role will focus on the strategy, planning, and execution of events that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. This role requires a creative thinker with exceptional organizational skills and a proven track record of managing both virtual and in-person events.
Travel Requirements: ~30%
Key Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive event marketing strategy aligned with business goals.
Identify and evaluate event opportunities, including trade shows, customer conferences and virtual webinars.
Research and negotiate partnerships, sponsorships, and venues to maximize event impact.
Event Execution:
Oversee end-to-end event management, including budgeting, logistics, vendor and sales team coordination, with potential on-site execution.
Work closely with sales teams to ensure seamless integration of events into broader marketing campaigns and lead nurture efforts.
Manage event registration, communications, and post-event follow-up activities.
Content & Promotion:
Identify and coordinate the creation of marketing assets, landing pages, social media posts and email campaigns that will increase chance of lead conversion from MQLs to SQLs.
Collaborate with design and content designer to produce high-quality promotional materials to leverage across multiple channels.
Implement strategies to drive attendance and engagement, leveraging paid ads and influencer partnerships where necessary.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track and measure the performance of events against defined KPIs, such as attendance, lead generation, and ROI.
Provide detailed post-event reports with actionable insights and recommendations for future attendance and improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to refine outbound activities and event strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong emphasis on event management.
Demonstrated success in planning and executing events, both virtual and in-person.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Eventbrite, or similar.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with external partners.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering memorable brand experiences.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools and email marketing software.
Experience working with local government software is highly desirable.
