About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who is passionate about design and enjoys solving complex problems. You are driven by curiosity and eager to understand how technology can continuously evolve, especially in the realm of AI.
In this role, you’ll work on AI-first products that address critical customer needs throughout their journey, from personalized engagement to purchase and loyalty. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and fellow designers to create intuitive, human-centered solutions that drive growth for our customers and Yalo.
You will:
- Craft great, impactful design: You will deliver high-quality, intuitive solutions that meet usability and visual standards while addressing real customer needs. Your work will cover design thinking, user models, fat markers, wireframes, prototypes, copywriting, documentation, and other tools, all crafted to drive both customer and business success.
- Influence product strategy: More than just collaborating cross-functionally, you’ll play a key role in shaping the product strategy. By contributing to defining use cases, prioritizing features, and addressing critical customer touchpoints, you will ensure that design decisions are deeply aligned with business goals.
- Engage with customers: Actively seek feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities, ensuring the product strategy is grounded in first-hand insights.
- Own the product’s outcomes: Take shared responsibility with your team and all stakeholders for the product’s success post-launch. This includes ensuring its enablement, adoption, tracking performance, and continuously improving the experience. We deliver value, not features.
- Dogfood to improve design thinking: Regularly use the products you design to gain firsthand experience, allowing you to continuously refine your design approach and identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the design system: Ensure that your design deliverables align with high standards and support the growth and maintenance of Yalo’s design system.
- Participate in team rituals and operations: Collaborate with the team to uphold design practices, contribute to rituals, and continuously improve design operations for a cohesive and delightful product experience.
You may be fit for this role if:
- You have experience designing for Marketing, Commerce, or Workflow Automation products.
- You have a deep understanding of UX/UI design, human-computer interaction, and usability.
- You’re curious about how backend systems, machine learning, LLMs, and data pipelines work. While you’re not a developer, you’re able to propose design solutions that align with these technical aspects.
- You’re detail-oriented and passionate about creating meaningful interaction designs.
- You’re familiar with using AI in your design processes, whether validating ideas or improving workflows.
- You possess excellent communication skills and are adept at simplifying complex ideas.
- You’re highly organized and can manage time effectively to meet expectations.
- You’re proficient in Figma and keep your design files well-structured and easy to navigate.
- You are a Spanish or Portuguese native speaker and proficient in English.
