Job description

Overview:

Sendero Health Plan seeks a dedicated Medical Management Project Administrative Coordinator to support our Transportation Program. This position plays a key role in ensuring members' transportation needs are met efficiently and effectively, enhancing their access to healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Assist members by scheduling transportation to and from healthcare appointments.
  • Arrange appropriate transportation types based on member needs, including ambulance, assisted pickup, doorto-door service, or drop-off.
  • Coordinate transportation for visits to hospital, clinics, pharmacy, dialysis centers, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Schedule and confirm pickup locations, return rides, and appointment details.
  • Make phone calls to members to discuss transportation requirements and confirm arrangements.
  • Provider clear and empathetic communication to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Document transportation schedules and maintain accurate records using electronic medical records (EMR) and other systems.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, reporting, and data tracking.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and faxes related to transportation inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members to address member transportation concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Adhere to Sendero Health Plan policies and maintain confidentiality in all member interactions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to type and efficiently use a computer, phone, fax, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong time management skills
Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma

 

Preffered Experience: 

  • 1 year Previous Health Plan experience in an administrative or customer service role 
  • 1 year Familiarity with scheduling and coordination is a plus.
