About The Opportunity
Netrix Global seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in Microsoft Defender products, endpoint security, cloud security, and compliance management. The Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring security technologies and controls to protect against cyber threats, and focused on Conditional Access Policies (CAP) within various identity platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of audits and compliance frameworks, including SOC2 and ISO 27001, along with the ability to secure both Windows and macOS endpoints.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions using Microsoft Defender products, including:
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- Microsoft Defender for Identity
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps
- Microsoft Defender Antivirus
- Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management
- Design, implement, and manage Conditional Access Policies (CAP) to safeguard corporate networks, applications, and data.
- Lead security audits and ensure ongoing compliance with standards such as SOC2 and ISO 27001.
- Perform risk assessments and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Manage and secure corporate endpoints (Windows, macOS, and mobile devices) by implementing and enforcing endpoint security best practices.
- Ensure robust identity management and access controls, including experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) Single Sign-On (SSO) for user authentication and authorization.
- Design, implement, and manage Enterprise Password Management systems and enforce password hygiene policies across the organization.
- Secure macOS environments, ensuring endpoint protection and compliance with organizational security standards.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to embed security into the DevOps lifecycle, providing guidance on securing cloud workloads and applications.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and breaches, leveraging Microsoft Defender products and other security tools.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security processes, incident response plans, and compliance efforts.
What You Will Bring To The Table
- 1 -3+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role with hands-on experience in:
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (EDR/ATP)
- Microsoft Defender for Identity (Advanced Threat Analytics)
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (email security, anti-phishing)
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud (cloud security and posture management)
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB, shadow IT monitoring)
- Microsoft Defender Antivirus (malware and ransomware protection)
- Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management (vulnerability scanning and remediation)
- Microsoft Sentinel (security monitoring)
- 3+ years of experience in identity and access management with a strong focus on Conditional Access Policies (CAP).
- Proven experience implementing, managing, and enforcing Conditional Access Policies.
- Proven experience with SOC2 and ISO 27001 compliance, audits, and continuous monitoring.
- Expertise in endpoint security for both Windows and macOS, including mobile device management (MDM) and securing BYOD environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) for various platforms.
- Experience with Enterprise Password Management systems (e.g.,1Password, LastPass, Bitwarden, Dashlane) and enforcing multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Experience in implementing and managing macOS security using Intune
- Familiarity with network security protocols, firewall management, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Solid understanding of cloud security for hybrid and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, network segmentation, and identity and access management (IAM) best practices.
- Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for security tasks and orchestration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate.
- Knowledge of SIEM solutions like Microsoft Sentinel or other security monitoring tools.
- Experience with securing APIs and web applications.
