Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a national/home-based Health, Safety, and Facilities Coordinator, supporting our state-of-the-art cancer care centres across the UK? This role involves travel to our centres in line with business needs, so if you're flexible, proactive, and eager to make a difference, join our dedicated team at GenesisCare UK and be part of something extraordinary.

The Role:

As the Health, Safety, and Facilities Coordinator, you are responsible for ensuring that our facilities are safe, compliant with health and safety regulations, and provide a healthy working environment for all staff. You will maintain accurate records, support the day-to-day coordination of facilities operations, and promote a strong health and safety culture.

This role requires a proactive individual with excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset. You should bring energy, collaboration, and a strong ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact and develop your career.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and policies.
  • Conducting site inspections and responding to health and safety incidents.
  • Maintaining health and safety documentation and reporting processes.
  • Supporting the day-to-day coordination of facilities management.
  • Promoting environmental and sustainability initiatives.

What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:

  • Proven experience in a health and safety role within an organisational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and practices.
  • Awareness and understanding of facilities operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new IT systems.
  • Experience in managing waste, sustainability, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
  • Familiarity with facilities management or health and safety software (e.g., CAFM systems).

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or willingness to work toward it).
  • Awareness of ISO standards related to health, safety, and environment (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).

Other requirements for this role:

  • First Aid Training and Fire Warden Training (desirable).
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to organisational needs and occasional travel between sites if required.
