Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Title: AWS Infrastructure Engineer


Overview:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in AWS services, Linux, and Windows systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure cloud infrastructure while supporting hybrid environments. This role requires hands-on experience in multi-cloud environments and a focus on operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Design and Management:

Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and other AWS services.

Manage and optimize multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce security best practices using IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and WAF.

Ensure compliance through regular patch management and security updates on Linux and Windows servers.

Networking and Hybrid Solutions:

Configure and troubleshoot AWS networking solutions, including VPC, TGW, Route 53, VPNs, and Direct Connect.

Manage hybrid networking setups, including URL filtering and physical firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco).

Server and Application Management:

Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot services like Apache, NGINX, MySQL, and PostgreSQL on Linux and Windows platforms.

Provide L2/L3 support for Linux and Windows systems to ensure high availability and swift incident resolution.

Collaboration and Automation:

Collaborate with DevOps, application, and database teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration.

Automate infrastructure tasks using Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).

Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor and optimize cloud resources with tools like CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, and Cost Explorer.



Requirements

Requirements:

4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and system administration in Linux and Windows environments.

Proficiency in AWS networking, security, and automation tools.

Certifications:

Required: AWS Solutions Architect.

Preferred: RHCSA or MCSE.

Strong communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.
