Job description

This is a remote position.

Full-time (40 hours a week)

Monday- Friday 6am- 2pm
Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm
Thursday - Monday 6am - 2 PM
Thursday - Monday 2pm - 10pm
Monday - Friday 10pm - 6am

Timezone: EST (includes 1hr unpaid break)


Job Description for Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send accurate, timely invoices to patients, ensuring all services are properly billed
  • Proactively follow up on unpaid invoices through email and potentially phone calls, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Reconcile incoming payments with outstanding invoices, ensuring accurate financial records
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team, notifying them promptly when invoices have been paid
  • Assist in maintaining detailed and accurate financial records, contributing to the overall financial health of the company
  • Process and record financial transactions with precision and efficiency
  • Prepare regular financial reports to support decision-making processes

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in financial data entry and analysis
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain financial matters clearly
  • Ability to work flexible shifts to provide extended coverage for financial operations
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Customer service orientation with a professional demeanor in all interactions
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial and patient information
  • Quick learner with the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing business environment
