The IP Marketing Team’s goal is to create unrivaled demand for stories from our top creators by harnessing the power of the Wattpad community and data to build, nurture and grow audiences and fandoms. We then engage and mobilize these audiences to support our creators as a top-tier story’s lifecycle evolves from a Wattpad story into a published book, film, TV series, or other exciting IP formats. 

Wattpad is seeking a strategic, analytical, and hands-on IP Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Senior IP Marketing Manager and working collaboratively across the company, you will be responsible for launching and supporting priority stories throughout their entire lifecycle. You will develop innovative strategies and methodologies to grow IP at scale and create the next Big Hits.

The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer who seamlessly blends data-driven analysis with creative thinking. With a proven track record of maximizing impact across the entire user funnel—awareness, engagement, monetization, and retention—you have a deep understanding of content lifecycle marketing. You excel at developing tailored and creative campaigns that effectively connect the right content with the right audiences, fostering engagement and driving sustainable growth.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lifecycle Marketing: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of priority stories, overseeing and supporting their growth through various stages—from launch to maturity—to maintain a healthy reader pipeline. Continuously evaluate marketing support and channel effectiveness, applying insights and best practices to maximize impact.
  • Growth Initiatives: Identify and champion innovative strategies to enhance awareness, attract trialists, and deepen engagement with priority stories. Analyze market trends, audience behaviors, and performance metrics to uncover new opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement initiatives that resonate with readers and foster community, driving sustained growth for priority stories and creators.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and analysis of campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring seamless alignment with overall content and marketing strategies. Continuously monitor performance metrics, gather actionable insights, and implement data-driven optimizations to achieve business goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Facilitate alignment among key stakeholders across Content, Business, and Marketing by keeping them informed of strategic developments, providing regular updates, and advocating for initiatives related to the Wattpad Originals catalog while effectively collaborating to achieve shared goals. 

  • What we're looking for:
  • A highly engaged Wattpadder! Passion for the platform, Wattpad stories, and their creators is a must.
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, with 3+ years of professional experience (excluding internships).
  • A blend of data-driven insights and creative thinking, excelling in analyzing business metrics and crafting innovative campaigns.
  • Experience in lifecycle marketing and/or the entertainment industry is preferred, along with a passion for storytelling and understanding audience engagement with different content and genres.
  • Proficient in data analytics and visualization tools to assess key metrics and drive informed decision-making—translating data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep projects on track while exploring new ideas and testing innovative strategies for growth.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
