Application Engineer/Administrator

What are we looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Engineer/Administrator who excels in managing application lifecycles, ensuring stability, performance, and security across diverse IT environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and administer applications in both production and non-production environments.
• Monitor applications, perform performance tuning, and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Provide application support, manage incident and problem resolution, and execute change and release activities.
• Automate recurring system administration tasks and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Develop, maintain, and structure the technical knowledgebase to support ICT operations.
• Generate reports on application performance, capacity, availability, and usage.
• Write and validate application procedure manuals, including troubleshooting guides and backup/restore plans.

Experience and Background:

• Masters degree (including a 4-year bachelors program) with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a bachelors degree (minimum 3 years) with 10 years of professional experience.
• Over 6 years of IT experience in mid-to-large IT infrastructure environments.
• At least 5 years of experience administering and supporting Microsoft Windows Servers and/or Red Hat Linux in enterprise environments.
• Minimum 5 years of application administration, support, and configuration experience.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, Python) and automated deployment scripting.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Kubernetes cluster and application administration.
• At least 2 years of experience using configuration management tools like Puppet.

Differentiating Qualifications:

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification (mandatory).
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL 8+) and Windows server operating systems (Windows 2019+).
• Proficiency in containerization and Kubernetes deployment practices (e.g., Helm charts, pipelines).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, change, and release management.
