ABOUT THE ROLE

In this temporary (6 months-1 year) role you will play a critical role in our success by partnering with our leaders to attract, identify, select, and hire top-notch talent.  We are seeking a self-starter with proven success partnering with hiring managers and developing and executing in-house recruiting strategies across all areas of the business.  We are a collaborative, service-oriented team who values building strong business partnerships with our business unit leaders. As a full-cycle recruiter, you will manage the recruiting process from vacancy to hire for multiple requisitions, consistently operating with a sense of urgency and efficiency to fill vacancies with the best talent.  Our Recruiters use our Greenhouse applicant tracking system to consistently maintain accurate hiring records.  This position reports directly to the Supervisor, Talent Acquisition and is an active member of our dynamic HR team.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Talent Branding: Serve as a brand ambassador for GILLIG, ensuring we are viewed as an employer of choice in the community. Generate excitement and enthusiasm online and in the community to attract high quality talent
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of talent using research methods, sourcing techniques, networking, and leveraging the GILLIG team as our best sourcing asset
  • Facilitate requisition intake meetings with hiring managers to capture critical details related to job requirements and business needs for the position, and communicate the full hiring process to the hiring manager
  • Manage job postings, consistently review applications and identify potential candidates based on skills, education, experience, competencies, and company culture alignment
  • Conduct initial interviews, capture relevant notes, track progress in our applicant tracking system, Greenhouse, and participate in calibration conversations with the hiring manager
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout all stages of the interview process
  • Create job posting content and materials that accurately reflect our culture and generate interest
  • Create tools and resources to support our hiring processes, including job posting templates, hiring collateral, interview guides, selection processes, assessments and selection criteria
  • Create offer letters, and extend and negotiate competitive offers
  • Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies that will attract competitive talent
  • Collaborate with recruiters and coordinators to establish and deliver the best candidate experience possible
  • Identify and attend high reward career fairs events, and network with various recruiting sources
  • Gain current market knowledge and external trends within our industry and related industries
  • Establish efficient recruiting processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Min. high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Min. 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with 2+ years in an in-house recruiting role in a medium-to-large organization
  • Demonstrated ability to source candidates at all levels within an organization
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Work on-site at our corporate office in Livermore, CA and must begin work at 6:30am (negotiable) - This is not a remote position
  • Mon-Fri. (with an opportunity to work from home 1 day a week) 
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, personal accountability, and goal-oriented
  • Prior experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (knowledge of Greenhouse and experience optimizing ATS system efficiency preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance
  • Must be able to take initiative, have strong decision-making skills, and build strong, productive relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of market compensation data

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally kneel or squat
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Standard start time: 6:30AM (negotiable)
  • Work on-site at our corporate office in Livermore, CA (This is not a remote position)

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

$75,000 - $125,000/annual salary 

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
