Job description

Overview:

Wrench Group is seeking a multi-faceted Web Graphic Designer working directly with the corporate marketing team to support multiple Wrench Group home services organizations to deliver assets for digital marketing channels and print materials.

Responsibilities:

What Will I Do?

Create Compelling Visual Branding Elements

  • Ability to create and update logos, icons, graphics, and other visual treatments for digital and print marketing channels for 30+ different brands. Examples include:
  • Websites and landing pages
  • E-mails and E-newsletters
  • Social media static posts, reels, ads
  • Video editing
  • Direct Mail
  • Brochures
  • Flyers
  • Billboards
  • Door hangers
  • Stickers
  • Works with IT product designer to create and manage style guides for each Wrench Group organization website for website authors and marketers to use as a reference.
  • Mobile optimized first mentality for digital design.

Design Best Practices

  • Follows atomic design methodology.
  • Familiar with user experience best practices.
  • Some experience with accessibility for font-sizes and contrast ratios.

Manage Creative Assets

  • Help AEM team manage assets and keep them organized using the Adobe DAM (Digital Asset Manager) as a repository.
  • Works with AEM team to develop and implement asset tagging strategy.
  • Follow product designer’s design system as guidance for digital asset creation.

Measure Design Performance

  • Understand metrics related to visual element performance.
  • Ability to understand and account for business key performance indicators when creating and recommending designs.
  • Design guidance with A/B and multivariate testing.

 Team Collaboration

  • Work effectively to collaborate with different members of a MarTech team consisting of project managers, content authors, developers, and other digital marketing SMES.
  • Work seamlessly with IT product designer and developers.
  • Collaborate with external designers and other creatives as needed. 

Communication

  • Comfortable communicating with Customer Success Director and doing discovery for design needs.
  • Ability to make recommendations to Wrench Group organization marketing leaders with varying digital marketing skill levels.
  • Uses Figma to create visual proofs and receive feedback.
  • Open and transparent communication with members of the Wrench Group Corporate marketing team.
  • Ability to communicate and relay technical information in an understandable way as needed.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to technical team members as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Regularly take part in website audits and improvements as well as website testing.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design.
  • Apply new knowledge and insights to continuously improve content engagement strategies.
Qualifications:

Do I Have What it Takes

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree Graphic Design or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 of web and graphic design experience.
  • Familiar with Adobe Experience Cloud, Enterprise Content Management Systems, and Figma.
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud; Experienced with InDesign for print pre-flight and production.
  • Familiar with CSS and HTML.
  • Copywriting skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with the home services industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge and Interest in AI best practices is a plus
