Job description

Job Summary:

Aptive is seeking a full-time Junior Data Analyst to provide support to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC).


VHA is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,293 healthcare facilities, including 171 medical centers and 1,112 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity, serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year. IVC is responsible for
coordinating and delivering comprehensive care to veterans, integrating VA services with community care services to ensure seamless, patient-centered healthcare. IVC focuses on optimizing access, improving care delivery, and fostering collaboration
between VA facilities, third-party administrators, and other stakeholders to enhance the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of healthcare for veterans.

 

This is a contingent requisition.  The expected start time would be Spring 2025.

Primary Responsibilities:

Aptive requires a Junior Data Analyst to support VHA in developing an improved organization and implementing critical initiatives. This includes assisting in the identifying of key performance metrics, measuring success, outcomes, and the improvement of programs.

 

The Junior Data Analyst will exhibit a well-recognized ability
to rapidly engage and leverage the knowledge of VHA program operations and VHA’s previously established goals and objectives to support a range of high-profile initiatives. Working with senior team members, primary responsibilities for this position are:


Support VHA’s goal for providing a standardized, efficient, and clear method for tracking performance.
Provide support and insight into the creation of detailed large/complex analytical models that integrate and process data relevant VHA initiatives.
Collect, clean, store, and analyze data points using internal systems to report on project performance, track trends and variations, identify risks and opportunities, and draft reports with business predictions and proposals to support VA leadership in strategic decision-making.
Build tools to automate data collection.
Prepare briefings, studies, reports, and other deliverables for presentation to senior client officials.
Assist VA senior leaders with ad-hoc data requests that can be pulled from Power BI dashboards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
2-5 years of experience developing and supporting solutions that address a range of business needs including portals, workflows, forms, collaboration sites, dashboards, and document management tools using Microsoft 365 (M365), Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
Experience building interactive data visualizations and dashboards and similar tools to communicate key operational metrics to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze technical information and communicate results, issues, risks, and impacts in a simple, concise manner to a diverse audience.
Excellent attention to detail.
