What you’ll do

As a member of the Global Services Unit, you will be a part of a creative team responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing, and launching. Your focus will be to develop Go packages and programs, to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code in meaningful ways. Also, as Devtech is focused on learning and development, it will be expected that you take active participation in company-wide knowledge-sharing efforts, and promotion of security, quality, and knowledge-sharing culture across the company. Creatively solving problems from the big picture to the nuts and bolts.

Develop and maintain software solutions using Golang
Design and implement web applications, APIs, and microservices
Utilize SQL databases for data storage and retrieval
Deploy applications to cloud platforms
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
Debug and troubleshoot issues promptly
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality

What you’ll need

Proven experience in Golang development
Strong skills in developing asynchronous web applications, handling HTTP/Websockets, API design and cloud deployment
Expertise in working with SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
Experience in developing applications on AWS, particularly using ECS and RDS services
Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Proficient in using Git for version control, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and writing unit and integration tests
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Experience in conducting code reviews effectively
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
